A man trampled by an elephant,was buried by cops

A 44 year old mentally handicapped man was trampled to death by an elephant in Karnataka state, India. His family refused to bury him for the final ceremony because they were worried about the virus. Three policemen were only allowed to dig their own graves to bury the dead, New Delhi television reported.

Last Tuesday, the man was trampled to death by an elephant in the border area of Chamarajanagar. There are often conflicts between people and animals in this area.

After the autopsy, the man’s family refused to accept the body because they were worried about the virus.

Deputy inspector general madegowda and two other police officers tried to make the man walk with dignity at the end. So they held the final ceremony for him in a Hindu cemetery in Chamalajanaga, without the presence of a priest.

Magda used a bulldozer to dig a grave in the cemetery and covered the body with white cloth. With the help of two other policemen, madrigda buried the dead man in the grave. It is reported that madegda is still holding incense in front of the tomb, praying for the dead.

“The mental state of the deceased was unstable. The deputy inspector held the final ceremony for him three days ago, “said Sunil, a police officer at the local police station.
