Yul Edochie Reveals How His Father Discouraged Him From Becoming A Wrestler

Award-winning actor, Yul Edochie has said he had wanted to become a wrestler while growing up but his father denied him the chance.

Wrestling was the biggest sport a while back as it was shown on numerous tv stations back in the days when local contents were few.

Children were fascinated by it as most idolized the wrestlers and attempted the stunts at home even when the federation had warned viewers not to try any of the stunts seen on their screens at home because it could end in fatality.

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has said he was one of those kids who had love for wrestling and wanted to take it up as a career but his father, Peter Edochie, the great iroko refused him that chance to become a professional wrestler and a superstar.

Regardless of him not being allowed to pursue her dreams, Yul has become a master of what he does today. He has impacted lives by converting his energy and mind into his acting career.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote;

While growing up, at a time I wanted to be a wrestler. My idols were @[email protected] and @undertaker I even told my father about my dream to be a wrestler. His reaction is a story for another day
